Meet the STAFF
The UCLBJ board and editors are highly qualified members of the UC Law SF community. Their interests are widely diverse: business, tax, social justice, international transactions, environmental, and more. Collectively, the team brings a holistic perspective to the business law intersection and aims to assist you in bringing your observations and analyses to the forefront of these conversations.
Beyond their coursework, members of the board are leaders in moot court, student organizations, and cutting-edge legal clinics. Many have professional experience in industry, government, and nonprofits, which equips them to engage with authors who understand the practical implications of business law. Together, they represent a dynamic group of emerging lawyers committed to scholarly rigor, innovation, and the advancement of dialogue in the field.

Jonathan Engelmann is a 3L at UC Law SF. He is also a competitor and coach on the school’s Moot Court team and participates in the Startup Legal Garage, advising early-stage companies on corporate and intellectual property issues.
Before law school, Jonathan played professional baseball in the Cleveland Guardians organization and later worked in Major League Baseball’s Commissioner’s Office. His work experience in the law includes interning for the San Francisco Giants’ legal team and completing a summer associateship with Clyde & Co. His experiences in athletics and law continue to shape his interests in complex commercial, sports, and antitrust litigation.

Audrey Nguyen is a 3L at UC Law SF and is interested in pursuing a career in the public sector. She is currently externing at the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area through the school’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic.
Audrey has externed for the Honorable Carmen Luege of the Superior Court of California, Orange County. While in law school, she studied international business law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. Recently, she clerked for the UC Office of the General Counsel. Audrey is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
